After reaching there and opening the laptop (by the service man), the touchpad WAS WORKING!!! Then I returned. UPDATE: I took the laptop to a repair center the day after this post. However, any other relevant things are also welcome. I mainly ask whether it is safe (for touchpad/laptop) to continue using the laptop. Laptop model name: Acer Aspire E15 E5 575G 53VG I tried uninstalling/installing the device, but to no luck. Then, I went into Device Manager, it reported 'Could not start device'. Today, after I woke up, I switched on the laptop, and the touchpad is not working at all.

During this whole period, the touchpad was working (though it felt a bit non-responsive). Then, after about 10 minutes turned off the laptop, and slept. Yesterday, I accidently spilled some water on touchpad of my laptop. Until then, is it safe to continue using the laptop? By safe, I mean not causing further damage to the touchpad and/or laptop.Ībout what transpired before the touchpad stopped working, following are the details: As today is holiday, I cant take it to a proper repair shop, and will take it there tomorrow. My touchpad is currently not working-few hours after water spill.
